Rules and Regulations

Court Reservations, Fees, Access

OCCA will maintain a website on the internet. Reservations will be made online through that site. The maximum reservation time is one and one-half hours.

Members of OCCA play free, except for league and tournament fees. Member access to the courts will be controlled by a card swipe access system. Members must use the card each time they play. The system will track all use. The three clay courts may be reserved by members three days in advance. Members will be limited to one advance reservation per day and three times per week except for walk-on play.

Non-members may reserve courts on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. OCCA will have a volunteer on duty during these hours to supervise non-member access. Non-members may reserve courts two days in advance by paying with a credit card using the on-line system. During these times, non-members will pay $5.00 per person per hour, not to exceed $10.00 per hour for the court.

Members inviting a non-member to play will pay a fee of $5.00 per non-member per session. Members allowing non-members access to the courts without pre-payment will be brought before the Board of Directors.

No-Show

If a reservation is not cancelled four hours before the reservation time, the member will be assessed a $10 no-show fee. They will not be allowed to play again till fee is paid.

Priority of court use

Tournaments, doubles leagues, singles leagues, challenge courts, reservations, walk-on.

Leagues

League scheduling will be managed through a league coordinator appointed by the Board of Directors, and league fees will be established by the Board. Non-members will be allowed in leagues only if not filled up by members. They will pay appropriate court fees in addition to the league fee.

Walk-On Court Play

Members may walk on and play by using card access when open courts are available. One hour limit if courts fill and others are waiting.

Juniors

Children 14 and under are not allowed on courts without adult supervision. Any juniors endorsed by the Missouri Valley USTA for national tournaments can practice and play at no charge. This applies to them and practice partner. See walk-on rules.

ETIQUETTE

Play will be governed by USTA rules and the Code. Any abuses (example: Of property, balls, language, racquet throwing, etc.) will not be tolerated. Violators may be asked to leave the court and are subject to further disciplinary action by the Board of Governors.
